Blueleaf Billing: Re-running a Billing Cycle
Re-running a billing cycle creates a new draft run for the same cycle with fees recalculated.
The run you originally completed is preserved as a historical record and is never changed on the back-end. The new billing run calculates against your settings and fee schedules as they stand when you start it.
Use these steps if you discover an issue with the original Billing Run after it has already been approved for the cycle. For example: a fee schedule was assigned to the wrong client, a holding should have been excluded, or an account should not have been billed.
- Fix the issue you discovered first in the applicable section based on your need.
- Open Billing Run page, select the cycle you need to edit from the drop-down then go to the Settings tab (The tab is only there once a billing run has been approved or exported.)
- Click “Re-run Billing” button
- The new run arrives as a draft, so it moves through Review Accounts, Review Fees, Exceptions, and Approve like any other run.

- Once you “Approve” the draft run in “Step 4: Approve” then use the “Generate Invoices/Exports” button to produce the invoices and export files again as needed

Note: once you click recalculate it marks the original run as “void”. The previous fees are stored in the back-end.
