Blueleaf Billing: Excluding an Account from Billing

This article covers the steps for excluding an account from Blueleaf Billing.

  1. Go to Clients & Accounts and select the client.
  2. Find the account you want to exclude in the account table.
  3. Select the Exclude checkbox on the account row.

  1. Confirm that the row is greyed out. The account remains on the client and keeps its balance, but it no longer produces a fee.
  2. The exclusion persists automatically, so you do not need to reapply it each billing cycle.

Use Exclude when an account should remain on the client but should not be billed—for example, when assets have moved to another custodian or the account is outside your advisory agreement.

Excluding for one cycle only

  1. Open the Billing Run and go to Review Accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to leave out of the current run.

  1. Uncheck Include next to the account.
  2. The account is excluded from that billing run only. It will be included again in the next run.

Use Exclude on the client for a permanent exclusion. Use Include in the billing run when you want to make a one-time change.
