Blueleaf Billing: Setting Alert Thresholds

Two toggles decide what gets flagged for review before you bill: one for a change in AUM, one for a change in fees. Set the percentage change that is worth your attention.

  1. Go to Firm SettingsBilling Settings and scroll to Billing Readiness Settings.

  1. To flag AUM changes, turn on Flag AUM Anomalies and enter a Threshold (%).
  2. To flag fee changes, turn on Flag Fee Changes and enter a Threshold (%).
  3. Enter the threshold as a number only (no % sign). The value must be 0 or greater. Changes in either direction are flagged.
  4. Click Save Settings.

Note: Both the toggle and threshold must be set for flags to appear. Flags are evaluated per account, not per client.

Review Flags

  • Flags are calculated against the prior period when a billing run is calculated.
  • Saving a new threshold immediately recalculates flags for billing draft runs. Approved or exported billing runs keep their existing flags.
  • On the Billing Readiness Dashboard, flags appear as AUM Anomaly or QoQ Fee Change, with the client, account, and change amount.
  • These flags are informational only and do not prevent finalizing a billing run. Review them and click Resolve when checked.
  • A lower threshold flags more accounts. Start with a wider threshold and tighten it as you learn what movement is normal.
